THE SCRAPED FILM TECHNIQUE

THE SCRAPED FILM TECHNIQUE
ALLOWS US:

  • To use selective distillation of molecules or families of compounds close to the base matrix
  • To ensure the decolouring, neutralising or deodorising of certain oils
  • To remove unwanted compounds from the product to be distilled
  • To split or separate certain groups of molecules
  • To concentrate assets
  • To decontaminate the raw material from pesticides

THIS TECHNIQUE IS EFFECTIVE :

  • Because it operates at a very high vacuum, strongly limiting thermal degradation
  • Because it is a flash distillation. The distilled products have a very short contact time in the evaporator
  • Because the return can be high
  • For high viscosity, high molecular weight products
